Danakhan has been working in the field of international development for the past fifteen years. Prior to joining the team in Cairo, she served as Strategic planning manager for two years at the Office of Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah. Prior to that Danakhan worked for the UNIFEM Arab States Regional Office for eleven years as Senior Program Officer providing strategic advice on regional and national level integration of programs into the socio-economic development process through monitoring policy changes with a specific focus on gender mainstreaming, human rights based approach to programming and results based management.
Danakhan holds an MSc in Gender Studies from the London School of Economics (LSE) and a BA in English and French languages and literature from the Jordan University.
