Under the patronage and in the presence of H.E. Minister of Interior and Municipalities Me. Ziad Baroud, the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) is organizing a ceremony to distribute certificates to the civil defense trainees on the occasion of the completion of the second phase of the first stage of the “search and rescue” training. The ceremony will take place on Friday 12th of March at 9:45am at the civil defense premises in Tehwita where search and rescue equipments and fire fighting trucks will be delivered.

This contribution marks a first in UNDP’s efforts to encourage the involvement of Arab donors in supporting innovative Palestinian anti poverty strategies that foster self-reliance and economic independence, as opposed to the more traditional approach of direct cash assistance.
